Affiliate Marketing - 3 Steps to Online Success

Affiliate marketers are always looking for a successful market that will provide ongoing profits. Affiliate marketing isn’t rocket science, but you do need to have a strategy. It takes proven marketing practices and perseverance.

Proven methods for online marketing continue to work today. With these top three affiliate marketing tips, increase sales and do extremely well with affiliate marketing  online.

Practice #1 - Always use unique web pages to market each separate product you’re promoting. Don’t lump all your products on one website or page. Web hosting is very inexpensive and you’ll do much better by having each product displayed on one site.

Always include a product review on your website.  This will help visitors to feel that someone has used the product and believe in it.

Include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure the testimonial customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site. If you’re just starting out, you may be able to find testimonials on the product owner’s website.

You can also write articles highlighting the use of the product and include them on the website as additional pages. Make the pages attractive, compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the reader to encourage them to read more or even contact you. Highlight the special points of the product.

Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so they simply cannot be missed. You can also use these as autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.  So, it’s very important to have an autoresponder.

Practice #2 — Only two things can happen when a potential customer visits your web page: either you will make the sale or the prospect will leave the page and likely, never return again. By sending useful information to their email account at certain specified periods, you’ll remind them of the product they may have wanted at a later date. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product and don’t make it sound like a sales pitch.

Make sure that they opt-in to your autoresponder before they can download the free reports you’re offering. Spotlight important areas like how the product can make their life easier and more enjoyable. Incorporate convincing subject lines into your messages. Whenever possible, don’t use the word "free."   There are still old spam filters that will get rid of the message before your prospect will have a chance to read it.

Practice #3 — Focus on targeting the traffic for your website to your product. If the person visiting your website has no interest whatsoever in what you’re offering, they may never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that are focusing on your target customers and what you write may just grab their interest.

You should try to post at least two articles per week.  More is better, of course.  Each article should contain 300-600 words. Only 1 out of 100 people will be interested in buying your product or retaining your services. When you can generate 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, you will make about 10 sales on average. Considering that you will profit about $25 on an average priced Clickbank product, when you multiply your daily earnings by 30 days, that totals $7,500 per month.  That’s not too bad for a little bit of perseverance and some writing.

The techniques I’ve described here are not complex. All that’s required is to plan your time wisely and then take the necessary action consistently.
